Relax and Restore Vinyasa
Relax: to make less tense, rigid, or tight.
Restore: to bring back to a state of health, soundness or vigor.
Vinyasa: a sanskrit word that means “to place in a special way”. In this class, we focus on the awareness of our breathing while we mindfully move our bodies from one pose to another. This class offers many alignment cues to understand the shape of each pose and the beneficial impact the pose can have on the body. As we use our breath to place each pose in a special way, the body begins to become less tense. As we hold various poses, we begin to allow the body to restore and return back to a state of health... (Dawn)
This class is designed to build flexibility, encourage healthy breathing, alleviate stress, eliminate pain and produce positivity. It is open to all ages, body types and experience. Beginners are welcome. The class gently flows from one posture to another. We begin lying on our mats, connecting to our breath and making an intention. We practice Sun Salutations each week and do postures designed to strengthen every body part, especially the ham strings, back and hips. I teach and assist in proper alignment, adjusting postures to individual needs. Each student works at their own capacity and competition is completely absent. The students spend the final 15 minutes relaxing on their mats and are guided through deep relaxation. (Barbara)

When practiced regularly, Yoga can improve our overall health and well being. (Dawn)
